Umbria’s ultra-low-cost liquidity bridge now supports ETH and MATIC in addition to USDT and UMBR. What’s more, liquidity providers are currently earning up to 70% APY on their ETH.

Using Narni — https://bridge.umbria.network/ — the native tokens for the Ethereum and Polygon networks can be transferred exceptionally quickly and cheaply cross-chain. ETH, which was launched first, can be bridged from the Ethereum to Polygon Network for as little as $2.56 in gas, which we’re sure you’ll agree is game changing.

The Zed Run use case

These great results have seen the Narni Bridge being adopted rapidly by many DeFi participants…

The Bridging the Gap meme contest, which was launched to spread awareness of our game-changing cross-chain Narni bridge, has come to an end and we’re delighted to share the winning entries with you 🎉.

From our shortlist, The Schiller chose his favourites based on the memes’ engagement on social posts, how well they conveyed the competition theme and their overall awesomeness.

Umbria’s Narni bridge was built to solve one of the biggest challenges of today’s multi-chain world.

Anyone using ETH understands what we mean- the price of GAS and the fees involved in most transactions are high. Lots of us have burnt so much in gas just trying to figure this out!

The result is a poor user experience and barrier to entry for many, which ultimately limits adoption for DeFi but also NFTs.

The NFT market is growing at an impressive pace, and this is where we see one of the most valuable integrations for Umbria’s Narni Bridge. In many…

We’re joining the likes of CUDOS, Luno, MELD, coinpass global, CEX.IO, GlobalBlock as supporters and partners for the prominent industry event that is the Crypto AM London Blockchain & DeFi Summit and Awards on September 29th and 30th, 2021.

Umbria Network is Silver Partner and here’s why

“We at Umbria share Crypto AM’s objectives of making DeFi and crypto accessible to the masses, sharing ideas and celebrating the amazing feats within our industry,” said Matthew Collom of Umbria Network. “Crypto AM and its founder James Bowater have been early supporters of our project, so it’s great to be partner for this key industry event.”

Crypto AM London Blockchain & DeFi Summit and Awards

This is just a quick post to share a demo of how to bridge ETH from the Ethereum Network to the Polygon Network quickly, easily and amazingly cheaply using Umbria’s Narni Bridge.

To make it fair, we’ve shown how to bridge ETH from the Ethereum Network to the Polygon Network using the Polygon Bridge v2. It took rather a long time so we had to edit the full wait out of the video. It cost $33.68.

Crypto AM and its founder James Bowater have been early supporters of Umbria and we are thrilled to be Silver Partner at the upcoming Crypto AM London Blockchain & DeFi Summit and Crypto AM Awards (more about that partnership in the next blog).

The Crypto AM Awards 2021

The awards component of the event takes place at the Leonardo Royal Hotel, St Paul’s on September 30th. Some of the industry’s most prominent names from the worlds of cryptocurrency, blockchain and DeFi are judges and will be deciding who has been standout over the last year.

We would love to win the category of ‘Outstanding Contribution…

The Bridge of Augustus — aka the Narni bridge — it was only fitting that the HUGE news of our Narni Cross-Chain Liquidity Bridge going live came in this month 🎉

Umbria’s Cross-Chain Narni Bridge is Now Live

Elon loves them, Redditors love them and so do we…

We want to put Umbria Network on the map, let everyone know what makes us great and get the word out about our awesome, new cross-chain bridge Narni… and we want to do that via the power of meme; we want to be included in more memes than Chuck Norris!

What’s it all about?

We are the new kids on the block and we’re rising fast. Our recently launched Narni ‘insta’ bridge is a game-changer. It enables the transfer of crypto assets between blockchain networks cheaply, quickly and easily AND…

Hot on the heels of our Narni ‘insta’ liquidity bridge going live - and facilitating quick and cheap cross-chain transfer of $UMBR tokens - comes the news that USDT can now be migrated cross-chain almost instantly and at minimal cost at bridge.umbria.network.

Pooling to earn APY

In addition to bridging USDT quickly between the Ethereum Mainnet and Polygon network with extremely low fees, users can lend their USDT to the bridge in a system called pooling, and earn APY (a return similar to interest on deposits). With Narni’s ‘pool and earn’ feature (https://bridge.umbria.network/pool/), liquidity providers receive fees when other participants bridge USDT between networks…

Umbria Network recently released a cross-chain liquidity bridge (Narni) — the first of its kind; it enables the cross-chain migration of assets between the Ethereum Mainnet and Polygon PoS chain.

The purpose of the Umbria Narni Bridge is to provide an alternative to the cumbersome validator-driven bridges — which have their place (we must give the devil his due), but are not suitable for liquidity migration where fast transaction speed and low fees are crucial.

So without further ado, here is how the Umbria Narni bridge and Polygon bridge stack up against each other:

Sending $500 of Tether ($USDT): Ethereum Mainnet — > Polygon PoS Chain.

First let’s have a look at…

Umbria Network

Umbria is a decentralised protocol (Defi) which enables the creation of tokenised money markets. These money markets will enable users to accrue interest.
