Umbria Aurora — July digest
We started the month hooking up with our favourite Twitcher Steven Schill AKA The Schiller to talk all things Narni Cross-Chain Bridge and answer all your questions. As always, a great experience.
Check out the interview below and if you want to read up all about it go check out our earlier post.
Narni test results
On the subject of Narni, we released some amazing test results.
For moving USDT from the Ethereum network to the Polygon network it took an average of 47 seconds and cost just $2.80; Polygon to Ethereum took an average of two minutes 12 seconds and cost $5.62. This is significantly faster and cheaper than the Polygon web wallet bridge, which can cost upwards of $200 and take several hours for a transaction to complete.

Media corner
DeFi slate interview
Barney and Oscar joined Rob Klages of blockchain & cryptocurrency education content platform DeFi Slate to discuss how Umbria is linking together the core components of DeFi.
Umbria Network has identified that no current bridging system facilitates the movement of large amounts of crypto assets from one blockchain to another in a cost-effective, fast and easy-to-understand way.
Narni Bridge is being developed to make the whole ecosystem more efficient and remove the barriers that users presently experience. It will allow participants to capitalise on arbitrage opportunities effortlessly and at fractional cost.

Oscar spoke to BeinCrypto giving the full lowdown on the Umbria platform, talking interoperability and discussing how Umbria is making the DeFi landscape easier to navigate and cheaper for the end-user.
“We thought, well, why don’t we migrate a lot of this great technology onto Layer 2 so that it can become usable again? And it seemed like a natural progression that needed to happen. So we took on that challenge, and we’ve been creating DeFi products ever since.”
