Happy New Year! 🎉
What a year 2021 was for Umbria. We initiated the whole project in Q1of the year following extensive R&D in 2020. You can see all that we achieved in the year on our Roadmap (2021 tab); the 2022 Roadmap has just been released.
Q1 of 2022 will see the launch of cheap, fast cross-chain bridges for Binance Smart Chain, Avalanche, Fantom and BTC as well as the ‘Umbria Partnership Endeavour’ designed to establish new partnerships with a range of exciting projects. The quarter will also see us extending the functionality of our Bridge Widget

Partnership with Clover Finance
Umbria partnered with Clover Finance to enable users of its Clover Wallet to easily migrate their assets between the Ethereum and Polygon networks extremely cheaply and quickly 🍀
NFTs on Polygon — Umbria and partners community chat
December 7th saw us hosting a Twitter Space with some of our announced partners — @FunkoBits @SPKY_FRSH @BelugaBayNFT @0xMaticMike @awwratspack @EESocietyNFT — to talk all things Polygon NFTs and more. It was a great turnout and we look forward to doing another soon.
Connect Portal
It’s been available for some time, but we decided to externally announce our very nifty Connect Portal. This tool enables anyone to automatically connect a MetaMask wallet to any EVM compatible chain — such as Polygon, Binance Smart Chain, Ethereum, Avalanche — almost instantly. This removes the need to manually configure RPC connections.

Umbria Narni bridge officially audited by CERTIK
The Narni Bridge successfully passed its audit by CERTIK — one of the most reputable auditing companies in the space. You’ll now see the ‘Audited by CERTIK’ label on the Pool and Bridge pages.

Add GHST Stake to the Narni Bridge
We launched a proposal for the Aavegotchi DAO to add $100,000 of GHST to each side of the bridge pool. Currently the bridge has a maximum limit of $2800 GHST tokens per transaction. With the addition of the proposed funds, transactions up to approximately $21,000 of GHST will be possible.
The proposal reached a quorum on January 5th 🎉

Gotchi Space
Dev Barnyard and Dev Oskii joined Gotchi Space co-hosts HEFE and NOFUTURE. As well as discussing how we’ve made bridging $GHST tokens from Ethereum to Polygon faster, cheaper and easier for Aavegotchi users, they gave more info about our proposal for the Aavegotchi DAO.
Defi Llama shows us the love
Defi Llama -the largest TVL aggregator for DeFi — is now tracking the Total Value Locked on the Ethereum and Polygon sides of the bridge. We’re now one of the approximately 800 DeFi protocols they track. Great that Umbria is being showcased to an even broader audience 🔥
The Schiller
Our favourite Twitch Streamer extolled the virtues of the Narni Bridge for the uninitiated for bridging crypto assets from Ethereum to Polygon and looked ahead to our integration of Binance Smart Chain. Take a look at the YouTube video.
DeFi Clinic — NFT focus
Financial Fox host @stefixy caught up with Umbria co-founders and lead developers @devbarnyard and @OskiiDev, and Zed Run digital horse trainer turned NFT enthusiast @Doofy_eth. They talked about how the NFT space is evolving and looked at the opportunities and challenges. They also drilled down into NFT gaming projects including ZED Run and The Red Village.
