How to bridge ETH from Ethereum to Avalanche (AVAX)

Learn how to bridge ETH from the Ethereum Mainnet to the Avalanche Mainnet at the lowest cost using the Umbria Narni Bridge.

You can now bridge your ETH from the Ethereum Mainnet to the Avalanche network at approximately an 80% discount to Avalanche’s official bridging solution. The Narni Bridge is also considerably faster for bridging ETH between these networks.

Follow these steps to bridge your ETH:

Step 1

Go to the Umbria Narni Bridge website: https://bridge.umbria.network/bridge/ethereum-avalanche/eth

Step 2 (when using Metamask)

Make sure your Metamask is connected to the Ethereum Mainnet. You’ll know if you are connected by looking at the network indicator at the top of the screen. If it says Ethereum Mainnet, then you are already connected. Otherwise unlock your Metamask wallet and connect.

If your Metamask wallet is configured to connect to another network, the Switch to the Correct Network button will be displayed. Click it to connect to the Ethereum Mainnet. Otherwise move on to Step 3.

Step 3

Make sure the network selections are from Ethereum Mainnet to Avalanche Mainnet (AVAX) as shown below.

Step 4

Specify the amount of ETH to send

Specify the amount of ETH to bridge to the Avalanche Mainnet in the input box, which is located below the network selectors. If the amount is too low or too high a warning message will appear.

Step 5

Send ETH to the Bridge (if you are using Metamask)

Click the Send (Metamask) button

Then decide how quickly you would like your ETH to reach the bridge with the transaction speed slider. The quicker the transaction, the higher the gas cost.

Then click the SEND button and confirm the transaction in your Metamask.

The transaction is complete when you see two pink ticks.
