The Umbria Meme Competition — Bridging the Gap

Elon loves them, Redditors love them and so do we…

We want to put Umbria Network on the map, let everyone know what makes us great and get the word out about our awesome, new cross-chain bridge Narni… and we want to do that via the power of meme; we want to be included in more memes than Chuck Norris!

What’s it all about?

We are the new kids on the block and we’re rising fast. Our recently launched Narni ‘insta’ bridge is a game-changer. It enables the transfer of crypto assets between blockchain networks cheaply, quickly and easily AND enables users to earn crypto for providing liquidity to the bridge. We want to celebrate the release of Narni (bridge.umbria.network/), highlighting its superior features and how you can make the most of your crypto assets using it.

We’re inviting our community to make memes on the Narni Liquidity Bridge and take part in this thrilling competition.

Competition details

The comp will run from today (Tuesday 31st August, 2021) until Tuesday 14th September at 5 PM CET.

What’s the prize?

We’ll select our favourite THREE memes and turn them into NFTs on Polygon which will be given to the meme creators and listed on the OpenSea marketplace. Winners will also receive $UMBR tokens as follows:

1st prize: 300 UMBR

2nd prize: 200 UMBR

3rd prize: 100 UMBR

Requirements:

Format: GIF, JPG, JPEG, SVG, PNG, MP4

Theme: Bridging the gap

Rules:

• The memes can be stationary graphics, animated GIFs or videos
• Only memes created AND posted by the closing date/time will be considered — the campaign will close at 5:00 PM CET on Tuesday 14th September 2021

How do we select the winner?

There are no algorithms involved and unlike Umbria this is fully centralised. We know what we like, but we’ll also be joined by The Schiller, who will cast his creative NFT eye over the entrants.

Winners will be selected based on two main criteria: meme engagement on social posts and how well we judge that the meme conveys the competition theme.
